This week in Music.

A few things of note this week. Let’s break them down, shall we?

1. Etta James, the legendary Blues singer died at 73, of complications associated with leukemia. She was most noted for her 1961 hit “At Last”:

She was diagnosed with leukemia in early 2011. The illness was announced as terminal by Dr. Elaine James (no relation) in December 2011, in a plea for prayers from fans. On January 20, 2012, longtime friend and manager, Lupe De Leon, stated that James had died with her husband and sons by her side at Riverside Community Hospital in Riverside, California.

2. Bamboozle adds more artists to the 2012 line-up.

Included are faux-rappers Mac Miller and Kreayshawn (+V-Nasty… I hope that bitch gets jumped. This ain’t Cali), Rockers Incubus and Jimmy Eat World, plus the standard layer of what I like to call “Hot Topic-Core bullshit”: Never Shout Never, Alesana, Bayside.

Some notable acts include: Mike Posner, A$AP Rocky, Iggy Azalea.

4. Nicki Minaj’s new video for “Stupid Hoe” dropped this week.
